Privacy Policy
QF Pilot is designed to keep your data on your device. We do not run ads, we do not use analytics or tracking SDKs, and we never sell personal information. This policy explains the small number of situations in which data leaves your device.
Location
QF Pilot uses your device's location solely to centre the map, display your position, and identify nearby airports. Location data is processed on the device and is never transmitted to us or to any third party.
Aviation data feeds
The app downloads NOTAM, weather (METAR/TAF), and volcanic-activity information from our servers. These requests are anonymous — they carry no account identifier. Our web servers keep standard access logs (IP address, request time, user agent) for security and operations, which are routinely rotated and deleted.
iCloud sync
Your app settings — tabs, custom lists, colour categories, and the name and email address you optionally enter — can sync between your devices using Apple iCloud. This data is stored in your iCloud account under Apple's terms; we have no access to it.
Shared custom lists
If you choose to share a custom airport list or subscribe to one, the list content together with the owner name and email address you provide is stored on our server so other pilots you nominate can subscribe. A one-time verification code is sent to your email address to confirm ownership. This is the only personal information we store, and it exists only because you explicitly chose to share.
Dropbox (optional)
You may connect your own Dropbox account to back up and transfer documents. Authorisation happens directly with Dropbox via OAuth — we never see your Dropbox credentials, and files are stored in your own Dropbox account under Dropbox's privacy policy.
Data retention and deletion
To delete a shared list, your stored name/email, or any other data associated with you, email apps@interactivewebs.com and we will remove it within 30 days. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data.
Children
QF Pilot is a professional aviation tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a new effective date.
